"Enriching Lives Through Choral Music!"

Central Texas Master Singers (CTMS) is a vocal performance group
specializing in the profound delivery of contemporary Christian choral and praise music -
performing choral music arrangements across the spectrum engaging audiences with a wide variety of music styles for every interest. From classical arrangements and newly arranged hymns to today's ever popular praise and worship genre, CTMS delivers a remarkable performance of well-rehearsed and majestic music unsurpassed by the common community choir.

CTMS is the premier choral group under the organization of The Master Singers, Inc., a 501(c)3 tax exempt non-profit, faith based choral organization. While the choir performs
predominately on a free-will offering basis, during the Christmas season CTMS is fully accompanied by top-notch professional orchestral musicians who perform regularly with area symphonies in and around the Central Texas region. With a unique performance personality and rich vocal blend, you are sure to be inspired and captivated throughout the entire musical experience.

The Singers, Expectations & Commitment
The choir is made up of Christian singers of varying musical backgrounds, many of whom are public school music educators, freelance musicians, volunteer church musicians, current and past collegiate singers as well as non-vocally trained singers. Participating with the Central Texas Master Singers requires an extraordinary level of commitment. The choir performs fully memorized, maintains a rigorous performance schedule, rehearses weekly and pursues excellence in sound and musicianship. Singers are expected to attend all rehearsals with consistency and perform in all scheduled performances.

Community Focus
The community focus of the Central Texas Master Singers is to raise awareness of quality choral music written and arranged in the modern era while simultaneously honoring God in the music making process. Occasionally, the Central Texas Master Singers will accept invitations to perform benefit concerts to help fund the needs of other faith-based community organizations. Since it's inception on April 23, 2009, the Central Texas Master Singers has performed for the benefit of Helping Hands Ministry of Belton, Project Apple Tree, Hope Pregnancy Centers, Inc., Belton Christian Youth Center, Fort Hood Area Habitat for Humanity, Heroes Night Out, First Baptist Church of Temple, Texas after the tragic loss of its worship center due to fire, and most recently for the benefit of Sandy Hook Elementary School victims in Newtown, Connecticut.

Rehearsals are held at the First Baptist Church of Belton, TX in the Choir Rehearsal Room on Monday evenings from 7 PM to 9 PM. Singers are expected to self study from home as needed to accomplish mastery as music is performed from memory. Request an audition and/or come join the fun and excitement! All rehearsals are open to the public for a musical listening experience.

History of the Choir
The choir was founded and organized by Steven Kirkpatrick in April 2009. CTMS is a direct inspiration from Steven’s past singing experience in the world renowned Dr. Gary Bonner Singers while living in Riverside, California. Additionally, he has been studying choral conducting each summer with Dr. Bonner through rigorous weeklong choral conducting seminars since 2007 through the Bonner Institute for the Advancement of Choral Music. Steven has led church choirs for more than 20 years beginning at the age of 14. His community choral experiences also include the world renowned Colorado Choir, Riverside Master Chorale and Salado Community Chorus. In less than four years, CTMS has performed more than 60 concerts and recorded 3 CD albums.

CTMS is not affiliated with any church organization or denomination. CTMS offers sincere appreciation to FBC Belton for the continued use of their facility for our rehearsals.
